A piscivore is a carnivorous animal which lives on eating fish.
Some animals, like the sea lion, or alligator, are not completely piscivorous, while others, like the Aquatic Genet, are strictly dependent on fish for food. The name piscivore is derived from the Latin word for fish, "piscis".

Omnivore strictly means one who eats all things (Latin omni: all), but is used to describe those people or communities whose diet is not restricted to either animal or vegetable sources.
